Why The Vibe?
Fitness should feel good. Every person should walk away from a group fitness class feeling stronger, empowered, & accomplished. The Vibe classes developed with this mantra in mind. Backed by years of professional fitness experience and cutting edge exercise science based ideals—The Vibe was born.
The journey to get to The Vibe began back in 2006 when Lauren began her group fitness career. In her 17 years of teaching and training–-from barre to cycling to boxing to strength training—Lauren has taught and tried it all. In 2020, faced with a pandemic and the inability to be in a studio, Lauren created LTE FIT and started teaching classes she created outside so that clients were still able to enjoy working out in a group atmosphere. From teaching in drive-ways and garages and parks, to renting space in a boxing gym, and now to having our own studio space, the journey has been long and definitely worth it because the work has led to The Vibe.
Why HIIT?
High Intensity Interval Training is a powerful fitness regimen for all, most especially as we age. The benefits of HIIT training are numerous: improvement in oxygen and blood flow, builds muscle & bone density, boosts brain health, stimulates metabolism and is calorie and fat burning.
Dr Stacy Sims, an exercises physiologist and nutrition scientists states,
“High intensity training is powerful medicine. It fires up your fast-twitch muscle fibers, which are those quick-burst, high-energy fibers that generally sit on the sidelines during endurance exercise (they are the first to go with disuse and age). It strengthens and increases the amount of your energy producing mitochondria, improves insulin sensitivity, and significantly reduces abdominal visceral fat as well as training your body to burn more fat for energy when you’re not exercising.
